How often do we wish for things to stay just the same as they are? For children not to grow up? For appearances to stay youthful? For homes to stay modern and tidy? For friends and family to be near and healthy? As lovely as it might be to live forever in that ideal snapshot of life, what would the cost be?
Tonight you will visit a world that has stayed frozen in time for twenty-five years. You will see the effect of locking out the rest of the world - and despite Lily's efforts, the changes it brings. While it may be humorous from the outside, what would it really be like to be these orphans?
Is Catherine really so foolish for longing to take chances like Ronald...to have the aged wisdom of Mr. Ervin...to put in an honest day's work like Mr. Franklin...or even to revel in the pleasures of the world like Florette?
