TELEPHONED                         PLEASE CALL
RETURNED YOUR CALL            WILL CALL AGAIN

Welcome to the Calumet Players' production fo "Belles." This comedy-drama has been a challenge for us, but I know that you will enjoy the end product.  The actresses have devoted so much energy into every rehearsal. They have each created a character as unique as the telephone they will use tonight.  I find that I know each "Belle' either in myself of people around me.  There is dysfunction in many families, and the ways we cope shape how we present ourselves to the world.

Directing "Belles" has been a wonderful experience. I thank Purely Art Productions, the sound/light/set/tech folks, the stage managers and the Calumet Players board members for all their time.  I also want to thank the families of each 'Belle" for sharing them with me and now sharing them with you.  I hope you will enjoy this show and many future Calumet Player's productions.
