From the director

This show is very real. not only does it make you think, it makes you feel.

While comedies and musicals are more face-value- type things, All My Sons is a drama in true form. With comedies, there isn't too much beyond the written word on the page. However, with a drama, every word has ten thoughts to it, and many times has more than one meaning to it.

Arthur Miller has a very unique way of catching the reality of life. This play shows the reality of families who 'ignore what they gotta ignore,' and the results of the hardness of reality. Lies don't just go away, and when they come back, things are worse than they would have been in the first place.

In this production, the show has gone past what I envisioned, and I didn't envision low goals. These actors are taking things to levels I didn't know were possible.

I feel very welcome in Pipestone, with the performing groups, in working with the people in town... and I'd like to thank Marty Wallin for putting me up at his house. (!)
